That's why at Wander Beauty, we're constantly re-evaluating our formulas to make sure you're getting clean multitaskers, powered by globally-inspired ingredients that keep you gorgeous on the go.
What is ‘Clean Beauty’ To Wander Beauty?
At Wander Beauty, clean, globally-sourced ingredients are what power the formulas you know and love. Because ingredients are such an important piece of the Wander Beauty puzzle, we’re constantly evaluating new ingredient information as it comes to light, and asking ourselves how we can clean up our formulas even more.
In general, all Wander Beauty multitaskers are free of: parabens, phthalates, mineral oil, and synthetic fragrance, and are cruelty free; many are even vegan, nut free, and gluten free.
Why We Reformulated On-the-Glow Blush and Illuminator
Because of the ever-changing beauty ingredient landscape, we’ve made the decision to eliminate one of the ingredients in our award-winning On-the-Glow Blush and Illuminator to make it cleaner than ever. It’s still the multitasker you know and love, but we’ve decided to remove retinyl palmitate, which is no longer in line with our ever-evolving clean standards.
Research indicates that retinyl palmitate could contribute to vitamin A toxicity when combined with excessive exposure to the sun. While retinyl palmitate can be used safely in restricted amounts, we’ve made the decision to completely remove it from both On-the-Glow Blush and Illuminator and Unlashed Mascara and to add it to our ingredient blacklist for all of our multitaskers going forward.
On-the-Glow was the first (and only!) product Wander Beauty launched with in 2015, and we’re excited to make the multitasker that started it all even cleaner.<product>1,2</product>
Will I Notice a Difference In The New Formula?
When you receive a new On-the-Glow Blush and Illuminator, you may notice a few small differences in the formula. While we removed retinyl palmitate, we also increased the pigmentation so that you get even more impact with each swipe. That means you’ll use less product to achieve your favorite looks.
On-the-Glow is still free of parabens, sulfates, phthalates, mineral oil and synthetic fragrance, as well as cruelty free, gluten free, soy free, and nut free. Plus, its component is BPA free. The formula is still infused with vitamin E, to combat the effects of free radicals and provide antioxidant benefits.
What Makes On-the-Glow Blush and Illuminator the Ultimate Multitasker?
This perfectly portable multitasker replaces four essential products (lipstick, blush, highlighter and eyeshadow) with a single stick, clearing out space in your beauty bag and saving time in your routine. The finger-friendly formulas allow you to swipe, blend and go for totally brush-free beauty.

Use the Nude Glow Illuminator on eyes for a candlelit cream eyeshadow and on high points of cheeks, cupid’s bow, brow bone and inner corners of eyes to highlight. For a body glow, apply to shoulders, legs, and collarbone and blend with fingers for a soft glow that catches the light from every angle.
While both formulas are made to be finger-friendly and easy to blend with nothing but your hands, you can also buff with your tool of choice, whether it be a brush or sponge.
