3 Essentials That Your Beauty Bag Needs To Create Any Look

3 Essentials That Your Beauty Bag Needs To Create Any Look

Here at Wander Beauty, you know we’re all about fewer, better beauty essentials. From your morning workouts, to your afternoon meetings, and your after work happy hour, we know that your time is precious and limited. That’s why we’re here to help you decide the most important essentials for your beauty bag, so you’ll spend less time rummaging through old lipsticks and foundations, and spend more time doing what you love!

Brightening Moisturizer

For many reasons, this is the most important product we can recommend when trying to pare down your beauty bag. First, you can’t rock a “no makeup, makeup” look if you aren’t taking your skincare seriously. The first step in lightening the load of your routine is to feel more confident in your own skin! Moisturizing your skin is key to keeping your skin naturally glowy, with or without makeup on.

Second, a brightening moisturizer is the ultimate multitasker. If your under eyes are a bit puffy, add a few extra pumps and massage gently - you’ll instantly be able to fake awake. You can also tap a glowy moisturizer on top of your makeup for an instant glow, or mix it with your foundation of choice to customize the finish. The possibilities are endless!

Third, a brightening moisturizer, such as our Hidden Glow Brightening Cream, gives you the appearance of smooth, radiant, and poreless skin. You won’t even feel like you need a foundation! Finally, if you do decide to add foundation, you can mix a pump of your moisturizer with a pump of your foundation to sheer it out into a DIY tinted moisturizer.<product>1</product>

Mascara

There’s nothing that quite replaces a mascara! You may not be able to use any other product to quickly darken and lengthen your lashes, but you can use mascara multiple different ways.

There’s the obvious (coating your lashes), but did you know that you can dip a small angled brush into the tube and use it as an eyeliner? Take that hack for the next time you forget your favorite eyeliner!

If you have darker hair and you’re a few weeks overdue on your cut and color, you can use mascara to cover grey roots! And for those with dark hair or brows, you can even use a slight bit of mascara to tame your brows (with a light hand). Who knew your mascara would take you so far?

I prefer water-resistant mascara like Unlashed, that can easily be removed with a gentle cleanser.

Multitasking Color Stick

The final product your beauty bag can’t live without is a multitasking color stick, like our On-The-Glow Blush and Illuminator. You can use this multitasker on your eyes, lips, and cheeks to create a full look with just one product.<product>2</product>

Dab the blush side onto the apples of your cheeks for a natural flush, onto your eyelids for a light shadow, and onto your lips for a bit of color.

Use the illuminating side on the tops of your cheek bones, your brow bone, and the tip of your nose to highlight the high points of your face.

Think you'd prefer using a portable pot of color and balm instead of a stick? Try Double Date Lip and Cheek, which works the same way. Instead of a shimmery highlight, you get a shimmer-less balm in a flippable compact (with a mirror) to glow all over.<product>3</product>

Throw these three products in your purse and you’re ready for a post-workout, pre-work natural makeup look! Show us your 3 product looks at @wander_beauty.
