We all know that self care is important, especially during this crazy time. And while skincare can be a big part of a self care routine, we also know that it’s important to incorporate other relaxing activities to holistically care for your body. That’s why we’re talking about mask & chill: the best way to practice skincare AND self care. Read on for our run down on relaxation.

Baggage Claim and Baking:

Whether you’ve become the next British Baking Champion during social distancing or you prefer to stick with what you know (pre-made cookie dough), baking is an easy and delicious way to relax. It’s a great way to reset after a long day of staring at a computer screen and the end product is a win for you and your #quaranteam.

MASK MATE: Double the relaxation recipe by popping on a pair of Baggage Claim Eye Masks while you wait for your bread to rise or your cupcakes to cool. The perfect way to rid yourself of under eye bags and reward yourself for a treat well baked.

Lift Off and Listen

Turn on your favorite meditation app. Practice deep breathing while listening to the calming guided meditations. Or try sitting outside or by an open window and just listening to the sounds around you. Notice the birds chirping, the leaves rustling, or the sound of cars driving by.  You’ll be surprised by the clarity you feel after 15 minutes.

MASK MATE: Apply a generous layer of Lift Off Purifying and Brightening Peel Off Mask to your face and meditate while you wait for it to dry. After you finish your listening session, your mask should be ready to peel!

Staycation and Soak

One of our favorite ways to relax before bed is with a hot bath filled with essential oils and bubbles. Pour a glass of wine, grab a book, and soak until your hands and feet are pruny. Not only will a bath instantly relax all of your muscles, but it’s designated uninterrupted alone time which is essential if your home is overflowing with roommates.

MASK MATE: Staycation Hydrating Mask is our newest multitasker and is perfect for the bath. It dries down quickly, you won’t feel it once it’s on, and it can be left for the entire duration of your bath (even overnight!), so there’s no need to rush your R&R.

Fast Lane and Flow

Finally, find your zen with a quick 10-15 yoga flow. You can follow a yoga instructor on YouTube or make it up on your own! Either way, your result will be increased flexibility and focus.

MASK MATE: Apply an even layer of Fast Lane Instant Facial, let it set for a minute or two, and find your downward dog. After you finish your flow, rinse your face with warm water and notice the instant radiance and softness of your skin!
