Wander Beauty Partners With Visible Women NFT This International Women’s Day To Empower Women To Get Involved With NFTs

The female founders of Wander Beauty and Visible Women NFT are joining forces to advance financial and gender equality “in all universes” this International Women's Day, Tuesday, March 8, 2022. Wander Beauty will be offering a NFT (non-fungible token) portrait of Co-Founders Divya Gugnani and Lindsay Ellingson, created by Visible Women NFT, with any WanderBeauty.com purchase throughout the month—including the clean beauty brand’s newest launch coming April 5th, 2022. The partnership will begin on April 1 and run through the end of the month.

NFTs—a rapidly-growing cyber-business—are heavily male-dominated; as of November 2021, in a reported $41 billion market, female artists accounted for only 5% of total identifiable NFT art sales in the 21 months prior, according to a report by research agency ArtTactic. In addition, 75% of the money made on these sales went to men. Recognizing the gender disparity in this skyrocketing business, Gugnani and Ellingson decided to team up with Stacey Yael, CEO of Visible Women NFT, to educate women about NFTs and cryptocurrency. Yael’s goal is to onboard 100,000 women in the Metaverse and Web3 space and curate feminist content for this unique community.

“By introducing our loyal consumers to the world of NFTs and cryptocurrency, we hope to empower women on their journey to financial equality and independence. We're excited to partner with Visible Women NFT to help improve financial literacy among women by providing

educational tools and a supportive community, both in real life and in the metaverse,” said Gugnani. “From working in investment banking to private equity to venture capital, I saw that women were often left to compete over the few (often only one) seats at the table. Since then, I have made it my personal mission to support financial equality for women. I started angel investing over 20 years ago and eventually started my own fund, Concept to Co, through which I have invested in over 75 companies, the majority being female-founded in recent years. As a woman who has successfully built, scaled, and sold many businesses, it is my duty to help other women reach the same successes in their careers and to help create more seats at the table.”

“Visible Women NFT is honored to be partnering with Wander Beauty. Through the supportive community of women in crypto, I was introduced to Divya, who immediately embraced our mission and had the vision to share this wonderful experience with the Wander Beauty community,” said Yael. “Visible Women creates custom NFT portraits as a way to bring empowerment and visibility to our community members, which aligns beautifully with the purpose-driven mission of Wander Beauty. The relationship of inner and outer beauty parallels the relationship that women need to be empowered in real life and virtually through NFTs. Through this groundbreaking collaboration, Wander Beauty is taking a leadership role in creating connections in the virtual world, which will empower women in the real world.”

Wander Beauty is proud to celebrate International Women's Day by not only educating their consumers, but also giving them an entree into the world of NFTs through their very own Wander Beauty artwork, created by Visible Women NFT, with any online purchase. As a longtime champion of women’s empowerment and an active mentor and investor in female entrepreneurs of color, this project is especially close to Gugnani’s heart. She is passionate about building the ecosystem of female entrepreneurship through her investment fund, Concept to Co, her role on the Board of iFundWomen, and educating and mentoring women through organizations like HeyMama, The Entreprenista League, Female Founder Collective, Fashion Mamas, and Miami Angels. She also guest lectures at Harvard, Wharton, Northwestern, Cornell, Columbia, NYU, and many more universities around the country.
