Hey Wander Beauties! It’s Sarah, Integrated Marketing Manager for Wander Beauty. As the seasons change, so does my beauty routine. I love fall (even though NYC seems to have gone straight to winter this year!), and I can’t wait to put more on my face than just face mist and mascara without fear of sweating it off the moment I enter the subway. Wait, that's not all! I can actually blow dry my hair without melting into a puddle on my bathroom floor. Hallelujah!

Although my beauty style is usually super pared down (multitaskers for the win), I recently got an itch to spend on some new beauty goods; I just needed some new things to rotate in with my essentials for the new season.

Makeup

I get ready at the gym each morning during the week, so it's all about being able to get ready quickly. Lately, I've been reaching for Nude Illusion Foundation - it's super glowy and lightweight, giving me that post-summer skin even as it cools down. I also use the doe-foot to conceal, which means one less item in my bag. Then I swipe on On-the-Glow (Bare is my go-to), mascara, lip balm, and go.

If I'm just trying to take my daily look a step up without going too crazy, I usually go with a winged liner using Tom Ford Eye Defining Pen, or Wander Beauty Slide Liner in Tan Line.

On weekends, I like to take a bit more time with my routine and experiment with an eye or lip. I recently took the plunge on the blue eyeshadow trend and purchased Stila's Shimmer & Glow Liquid Eye Shadow in Vivid Sapphire. This is one of my favorite liquid shadow formulas and made it easier for me to dive into this bold trend without spending too long blending, perfecting, removing, redoing and driving myself crazy. I paint it onto my lid and blend the edges out with a bit of a neutral shadow, keeping the rest of my skin glowy and neutral. If I'm going with a bold lip instead of an eye, I always reach for something in the red family, letting my mood determine the finish.

Hair

I'm usually so focused on my makeup that my hair is the last thought. I wash my hair twice a week, maximum, so I'm usually composed of 90% Ouai dry shampoo foam. When I do wash, I use Pantene since I'm all about a good drugstore moment, but I recently upgraded to Living Proof Shampoo and Conditioner, and so far, I'm loving the change. My hair is pretty straight as it is, but this makes it even easier to just wash and go. When I'm feeling extra fancy, maybe once every two weeks, I'll use Christophe Robin's scalp scrub for a deep cleanse.

To style, if I'm trying to tame it even more, before I blow dry, I add a little bit of IGK Rich Kid Coconut Oil Gel while my hair is still damp. I don't even know if that's how I should be using it, but I just love the texture and effect it gives. I also always keep a mini bottle of It's a 10 Miracle Leave-In spray on me, just in case I have to shower somewhere suspicious, like the gym.

Skincare

I have really strong feelings on skincare - I stopped washing my face in 2013, and haven't looked back. I cleanse twice a day with micellar water, cleansing oil or cleansing balm - absolutely no water or soap, ever.

In general, I'm all about the oils all the time. My must-have day and night is Glow Ahead from Wander. No matter what I'm doing to my skin that day, I have to apply oil. I keep one in my bathroom and one in my bag. My friend actually recently stole one of my tubes from me because she loved it so much, so I've been stretching the life of one of my sample tubes from when we were testing the formula.

Besides cleansing and oils, I rotate treatments depending on what my skin is feeling that day/night. For exfoliation, I'm a big fan of lactic acid (Sunday Riley Good Genes or The Ordinary Lactic Acid 10% do wonders). Once a week, I use Drunk Elephant Baby Facial for mega results. I always end with lots of hydration - I've been rotating between Wander's Extended Stay Mask and Summer Friday's Jet Lag Mask.

To pamper myself (or when I'm extra hungover, tired, traveling and/or puffy), I'll reach for my favorite eye masks: Baggage Claim.
